Foul play! Brittany Matthews, Patrick Mahomes' wife, answered fan questions on Sunday, April 16, and laughed at trolls. "I wish I dug and found gold," the mom-of-two said on her Instagram Story after being dubbed a "gold digger."
When asked why people claim her NFL husband, also 27, doesn't love her or "can do better," Matthews said, "Cause they are silly."
"Lol it's actually really sad how disrespectful some women are," the former swimmer replied to a fan who asked how she handles all the female attention. They waste my time and won't bother me."
"I did have a very hard time and get extremely annoyed," she said. I no longer care!" "I just wish I could do what I want without getting attacked every week," she tweeted last year after being blasted for spraying champagne on delighted supporters.
Last month, Joe Rogan called Matthews a "annoying wife who screams" for her behavior at previous games. "The problem is they keep that same energy when you get divorced," he added of her high-energy personality. "They come after you with that same energy."
Matthews wrote, "Something about grown men talking s*** about someone’s wife is real weird..." In a follow-up tweet, she said, "Actually grown a** men hating on women in general is pathetic."
The parents-of-two celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary last month despite the hatred. "Nothing beats doing life with you and these beautiful kiddos of ours!" Matthews gushed as the Super Bowl champion captioned his appreciation with a heart.
