Olivia Dunne and her colleagues reached the NCAA Gymnastics Championships this week. Thursday's NCAA Semifinal I placed the women's gymnastics team first.
Saturday's fourth-place finish ended LSU's season. "Finished climbing. "There’s so much to be proud of and so much to look forward to," LSU gymnastics tweeted.
Dunne celebrated on Thursday and predicted the team's championship performance.
"RING SZN BABYYY," Dunne wrote on Instagram Story over an LSU Tigers graphic that read "Final four on the floor."
Dunne, one of the most followed collegiate athletes on social media, has made money from it. She makes seven figures online.
SU advanced to Saturday's finals with a 197.475 semifinal score.
LSU overcame injuries all season. LSU lost its magic in the finals. Sixth-ranked Tigers finished fourth with 197.5250.
Gymnast Haleigh Bryant scored 39.7250 Saturday.
"Grateful to be part of something great! This year will be unforgettable! Thank you @LSUgym! Last season next year!" Bryant wrote Saturday following LSU's season.
No. 6 LSU was the lone non-top four Final Four team.
Oklahoma won the national championship with a score of 198.3875. Oklahoma won its sixth title in six years.
Bryant topped the Tigers on the floor with 9.9375, while All-American Aleah Finnegan led on beam with 9.9250.
