Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick dance

Kevin Bacon is using his "Footloose" fame to oppose drag performance bans.

On Sunday, the 64-year-old actor posted a video of him and wife Kyra Sedgwick dancing to Taylor Swift's "Karma" with a message regarding anti-drag laws like Tennessee's.

"Drag bans are bad karma." "Right now, drag performers and the LGBTQIA+ community need our help," he wrote in the post, adding the hashtag "DragIsARight."

Bacon said, "Bigotry will not be tolerated." In remarks, please be courteous."

On her Instagram story, Sedgwick, 57, posted the footage. Avoid becoming a burden. She wrote, "Don't ban Drag."

The tweets come as state lawmakers everywhere limit drag shows.

In March, Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee approved a law banning public drag performances. "Adult cabaret performance on public property" or where children may see it is prohibited under the law.

A federal judge temporarily banned the law on March 31 because it was "vague and overly-broad," postponing its implementation while the court analyzes its legality.

More than a dozen states, including Arizona, Idaho, Montana, and Texas, have sponsored anti-drag legislation.
