Hailey Bieber uploads a year-old hospital photo.

In an Instagram story posted Monday, Hailey Bieber recalled a tough moment but was positive about her health and future.

After heart surgery, the 26-year-old model posted a photo. Hailey, who married Justin Bieber five years ago, was diagnosed with patent foramen ovale (PFO) after a mini-stroke last year.

"This time last year I had a procedure done to close a hole in my heart known as a PFO (Patent Foramen Ovale) following a transient stroke," she wrote across the photograph.

"So grateful to have found this and have it closed, and for my amazing doctors." She continued, "A year later I'm feeling strong and healthy."

Hailey was brought to the hospital last year after experiencing "stroke-like symptoms" while "sitting at breakfast" with Justin.

Hailey claimed her fingers felt "numb and weird," and when her husband asked if she was OK, she "couldn't speak."

"The right side of my face started drooping," she said. I believed I had a stroke immediately."

"They detected a very little blood clot to my brain, which caused a minor loss of oxygen, but my body cleared it on its own and I recovered totally within a few hours.

Justin revealed his crippled right side three months following her panic. Ramsay Hunt Syndrome was confirmed for Bieber.

Justin said the infection targeted the singer's ear and facial nerves. He ended his Justice World Tour months later to "make my health the priority right now."
